Long Distance Rower

Picture, Philly Joe in row boat.
"Philly" Joe Kolodziejski passing through Rhode Island.

Joe is on a solo rowing trip.  His plan is to circumnavigate the contiguous 48 states and most of Mexico.

So far his trip has taken him from Texas, along the gulf coast, around the Florida keys, and up the east coast into Maine for a total of over 6,000 miles.  Most of this was done in the Intercoastal Waterway.  He plans to continue across Canada, touching on Alaska, down the west coast, through the Panama Canal, then back north to Texas.  When he is done, he will have traveled over 24,000 miles.

Joe has selected the FrontRower forward facing rowing system for propulsion.  The boat he is using is a Sea Wind designed by legendary expedition paddler Verlen Kruger.
